My Super-Best Friend's Wedding

"Hey look there!"
"Its a bird"
"Its a plane"
"No..its a...."
" ... a CAR! "
That's his usual way of attracting attention. Hehe. Not really. Its more of a childhood problem.
Born and brought up in a family of intelligentsia and all nice people, he has grown up making road maps and plans on random sheets of paper, at random hours. Talking about railway routes from places in India, I din't know, existed. (Those maps at times haunt me nights together) *shivers* hehe. At the tender age of 3, this boy would by-heart the names of stations from the then Victoria Terminus - V.T (hell! i din even know the full form then), spend this precious childhood siting in the front seat of his car, a navigator by post - driver by actions. Yes, mimicking his driver, his favourite act that would save the day for him. His hero, the local electrician.
As years passed by, local routes nationalised. Transport systems became life support system. Papers with local road routes from home to school and such other places reached puberty and turned into state and national highway maps (the ones that existed to the ones that he planned to create-soon). So, as he passed the various inter-state and national routes in his mind, suddenly there was a *cling*
"What was that sound?"
"Its a ringtone"
"Its the school bell"
" No. Its a bulb shining bright on His head! "
Thats when "Chef Abhishek" was born. Ooops! You don't know his name. *Rewind sound*
'Thats Abhishek I am going to talk about. My Best Friend essays, never had his name.(that schooly thing of you-can't-have-a-boy-friend.) Ever since we started going to school, we just know each other. I know when he will laugh. He knows when i am going to sneeze. I know why he dances(sometimes i really wonder, Why?). He knows when I am going to puke (the scared fool i am).
So after school, we were separated because of our career choices. He almost got a heart attack as i declared I had chosen Arts as my faculty for my juniors. He was happy. I was, Super-Happy!

The saga continues. He is growing super normal by the day. His regular word diet includes engineering, electronics, computer, routes, roadways, RAILWAYS, stations, cars. Oh! i guess thins incident should say it all. Four friends, Sav, Morekuttan, Kulkarni and our very own Abhishek, once happened to see a *SUPER WOMAN* flying in the sky.
Sav: "Hey look there!"
Morekuttan: "Its a Bird"
Kulkarni: "Its a Plane"
Strayman: "No, its a.."
Abhishek: "its a CAR"
His obsession once turned so scary i almost dream of his marriage with a Honda Civic. *shivers*
Their kids, Chevrolet Spark and Swift go to reputed school, and like their dad, know each and every road map of India. Swift, the elder one, is also trying international routes, with the dream statement of his dad "I am proud of you!!!".

One Morning - Stand

There was some truth in what happened the other day. Yes. When i left home, i was in a 'super' hurry. 'Super'? My 7 year old cousin was now crying. I slept at 2 last night. That din't seem to care her. For her, its like when she is put to bed, the world is put to bed at the same time it seems. She was standing right in front of my eyes. At a distance of probably, 2 inches from my face. From that 'distance', she screams, "DeeDee!! " , crying, "deeeee", sobbing, *snifff*, wiping her 2 mm of 'pure' tears (kids, i promise, got crocodile tears! I don't really know how that phrase came into being though. I would rather call them Kiddie tears. Drops of water that roll down your eyes not more than 2mm, eyes may be red, but beware, they ARE QUITE deceptive.) "Its 7 in the morning, why the hell are you crying? " i said all of that in my sleep? Damn she was, crying! "Dee i need you to drop me to the school bus stop, else i...

Gimme gimme.. mooooore! THIS DAY AND THAT THINGS!

Walking on a street in Nerul (Navi Mumbai), at 11.30 in the night, you are singing ‘Maujja hi Maujjaa’, dancing ‘wierdly’ to the tunes of ‘Nasik dhol’ hums, smiling your way to glory, its just a hangover of the historic match in ‘D.Y. Patil stadium’ – the bbbigest stadium in Mumbai, witnessing its first match ever! ‘Mumbai Indians match tickets! Please get me a ticket I beg you!’ Here starts my journey to get to my FIRST MATCH in a stadium, ever! The‘oh! My god! I am so egg-xited’ syndrome never seemed to end. Arrangements to the stadium and back were all done, don’t ask how! Well, after all not everyone gets the opportunity to such a historic match, you see. Ok, try and get the picture. You are 12-15 youngsters, in 3 different cars, getting to a stadium, 4 hours in advance. In the car, with absolutely no idea of the scorching heat outside, the smoke of the trucks and other vehicles, the traffic, its just The Match in our heads at the moment. You reach the parking place next to the sta...
